Pastor Ryan Ortega
Pastor Ryan Ortega serves as an Associate Pastor at the Rock of Salvation Christian Center. Although, he was not a fan of public speaking, it was to his surprise that God called him to become a teacher and is currently the Pastor of Christian Education.

Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served three years as a combat engineer, including one tour in Iraq. Shortly after leaving the Army in 2004, he began attending the Rock and soon began serving as an usher. Always ready to serve wherever the need, he has held many positions on his way to becoming a pastor and teacher.

With God’s help, it was this willingness to serve that pushed him to overcome any reservation about public speaking, to answer the call of teaching and even preaching the Word of God. His next venture was hosting a weekly podcast for the church where he covers current events from a Christian perspective.
It was at the Rock that Pastor Ryan met his wife Monica who serves as a chaplain. They were married in 2006 and have three beautiful children: Ryder, Ella and Allie.

Pastor Ryan is grateful for the changes God has made in his life and the many things He has enabled him to overcome and accomplish.
